Life Lately- School and Work Update

Sweater: Similar & Similar | Skirt: Tobi | Boots: ASOS | Sunglasses: Diffeyewear | Bag: Tory Burch

Happy Saturday! I'm wrapping up my time in Charlotte today with Mason and family before I head back to Raleigh tomorrow. It hasn't set in yet that I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon-I'm sure it will when I'm frantically packing tomorrow! I've written two life updates before on the blog, one at the beginning of this past summer and one in August. Specifically, to share my changes in my PR career and to share new jobs. All three posts share a new thing happening in my life! Thank y'all for your continued support on all of my posts, especially posts like these.

I start my spring semester as a junior at NC State on Monday. I'm studying Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, as well as minoring in Design. In addition to school, I'll be working as the Marketing and PR coordinator for Kahootie Co. I LOVE this job. Kahootie is based out of Charlotte and I work remotely from Raleigh during the school year and meet with my boss when I am in Charlotte. We just launched our first college ambassador program and this semester I'll be working with the college ambassadors on content creation of Kahootie Co. products for social media channels, as well as writing and helping the ambassadors write for the Kahootie Co. blog. I recently wrote a blog post for Kahootie Co. on goal setting and how to achieve your goals in 2018. As the Marketing and PR coordinator, I wear whatever hat is needed. Whether it be social media, communicating with buyers, strategizing on future products, etc. This job is an absolute dream come true. I will also be interning for Clairemont Communications this semester as their Public Relations intern. Clairemont is my first agency job and I so excited for this opportunity. Both Kahootie and Clairemont are both part-time and will fill up my time after classes each weekday.

One might ask where this leaves room for blogging?! I'll be shooting with a photographer on the weekends for EH and working on my content calendars, planning posts, etc. then as well. This semester will demand a lot of balance and I'm ready for it. I'm ready for the structure and discipline it will take to balance school and three jobs. If I could picture a typical day: I'll wake up at 8 something, answer emails, post content, etc. I'll then head to class, after class work for Kahootie until I head to work at Clairemont. On days I don't work at Clairemont, I'll head back to my apartment and study/work for Kahootie/ work on the blog until I go to sleep. I also hope to hit the gym this semester  after working at Clairemont on the weekdays and on the weekends. I've found with my major, that there are work intensive weeks and dead weeks when it comes to homework. quizzes, tests, etc. I'll be spending a lot of time with my syllabi this week to structure out this semester! I am so excited for everything I have going on. I can't wait to share the journey of this next semester with y'all.
