How To Wear White After Labor Day

Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I was so happy to have Mason in town for a few days. He was definitely a breath of fresh air compared to last weekend. To sum up what was/is going on with my health, the hormones in my body that release stress have become immune to putting me in to "shock" or making me anxious when getting stress, and instead were attacking my immune system making me feel sick. Having Mason here for a relaxing weekend was exactly what I needed. I love getting to date my best friend!

I have been so excited to share this Chic Wish top with y'all. This pink shirt is the perfect transition piece into fall. I loved wearing it tucked into denim shorts with the warmer weather. How perfect is this top paired with white jeans- I am obsessed! This pink would be gorgeous on any skin tone and the cut of this top is so flattering. It's a steal for $53- especially because this top can be worn multiple times throughout the year! I'll continue to wear this top throughout the fall with darker denim, boots, etc. I'm wearing a size small/medium and this top TTS.

How To Wear White After Labor Day:

I love this time of year because I am so excited for jeans, sweaters, boots, etc. But I am also sad because I have felt like in the past that colder weather means I lose out on one of my favorite colors to wear- white. I love white jeans. I love how they pop with any outfit and how the color looks on my skin. If today's post tells you anything- don't pack away the white jeans with your summer stuff y'all! It's not so much the color itself you're not supposed to wear after Labor Day- but the fabric. When you hear "no white after labor day", in theory what this ancient fashion rule is saying is: no more white linen, flowy cotton pants, etc. Know what materials/pieces are made for summer. A white linen dress should be packed away with your summer clothes. White denim jeans however can be worn with sweaters, booties, etc in cooler weather. It's a summer specific piece of clothing, chances are you need to pack it away. If it's a piece that is white but not a summer specific/cooling material, chances are you can wear it in to the fall. I posted a Chic Wish white dress on the blog a couple of weeks ago and am so excited to wear this white dress with cowboy boots and a jean jacket when the weather cools down. White is not a definite no after labor day-just certain pieces!
