Recap on Charlotte and Fall Plans

Happy Saturday y’all! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. I apologize for being MIA this week as what felt like the unexpected happened on Tuesday. My “move-in” ready apartment was anything but.  I headed back to school at NC State this week and was only allowed to move into my apartment complex the day before classes started. My roommates and I walked into a filthy apartment when we opened our door for the first time. What was even worst was the management team did not feel obligated to help us at all. Over 200 tenants at our complex were expected to move in to disastrous rooms. Our apartment was cleaned and fixed-almost 3 days later. Thank God my best friend is from about 45 minutes away and we were able to stay with her parents for the past couple of days. Needless to say, it was a crazy week. Not knowing where we would be living, starting classes, having to call out of work because life got so chaotic, etc. equaled sleepless nights and extremely stressful days. EH had to take a break while I figured life out! I appreciate y’all’s patience and those who reached out asking if I was okay! It was an insane week to say the least, but I am so happy to finally be settled in.

Y’all, how gorgeous is this floral dress! This dress was the perfect piece to end my summer in Charlotte with. My Chic Wish white embroidered dress is one of the most fun pieces I have ever worn! The ruffles are playful and the fit of this dress is great, it feels so flattering on. It's currently on sale for less than $55. I’m wearing a size small and suggest sticking to your true size! My dress is linked above.

My summer plans completely did a 360 from what I originally planned. I had planned to nanny all summer long, but actually finished off the summer as the Marketing and PR coordinator for Kahootie Co. and blogging full-time. Yes, I was able to make the blog an almost full time job this summer. It was completely unexpected and so much fun. I also interned for Shop Petal, one of my favorite Charlotte boutiques, as their blogger intern. It was exciting to balance my internship, my marketing job, and the blog. I loved coming home to Charlotte for a few months and hope to return next summer and permanently move back after I graduate. This summer was the first taste I had in an industry that I am so interested in. This summer made me more excited about my major, what my career could look like after I graduate, who I would get the chance to work with in the future, etc. All in all, this summer was a dream come true.  Blogging has opened up doors I never even knew were real- truthfully what EH has become doesn’t even feel real sometimes. Pinch me if I’m dreaming y’all! EH has become such a big part of my life and has such a big piece of my heart.

As far as my fall plans, I am back in Raleigh for my fall semester at NC State University. I am majoring in Communications with a Public Relations concentration and minoring in Design Studies. After this summer, I have become very interested in business and might pursue changing my minor or looking in to do a double major/minor in business. I will still be working with Kahootie Co. as their Marketing and PR coordinator. I had a final Charlotte meeting with my boss before leaving for Raleigh and am extremely excited for what is to come with this job the next few months. I will also continue to blog. Not on the scale I have this summer, but most likely 1-2 blog posts a week. I honestly don’t have it all figured out yet. I know I need to/want to make school my main focus. Just like how I figured out how to balance blogging full time, my marketing job, and my internship this summer- I will in time figure out what the blog will look like on a weekly/monthly basis this semester. I obtained my highest GPA and grades last semester while balancing school, work, and the blog. I am so determined to keep creating content as a full-time student.

As always, I am eternally grateful for your support with EH.  Thank you for reading, liking, purchasing, commenting, etc. on my content and help making this girls PR dreams come true. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
